about Ellian
My name is Ellian Rohrbacher and cheese is my passion. I stumbled into the world of cheese as a cheesemonger and found myself drawn back to Portland, where I founded La Femme Fromage in 2017. Our mission is to create edible art through cheeseboards and share the joy of cheese with others. Cheesemongers, as a wise mentor once said, are the shepherds of cheese—a mantra I live by. I love introducing people to the magic of cheese, its ability to evoke memories and create unforgettable moments with each bite. Through La Femme Fromage, I aim to make cheese approachable and enjoyable, whether through custom cheeseboards or cheese pairing events/classes. Cheese truly deserves a place at every table, and I find immense fulfillment in bringing that experience to others.
